Home-School Communication
Mustang Message
Mission Meadows' school newsletter 'Mustang Message' is sent weekly on Sundays during the schoolyear. The newsletter highlights the week’s accomplishments as well as activities and information for the upcoming week.
Parent Square
ParentSquare is the premier fully unified product that engages every family with school communications and communications-based services—all the way from the district office to the classroom teacher, and all in one place. It is imperative that you maintain a current phone number and email address on file with the office and in the parent portal in order to be able to receive these automated messages. Our system automatically connects to both the parent phone and email address listed in the parent portal unless disconnected on the parent side. You will need to communicate with your child's teacher directly to let them know how they can contact you for classroom information. Please make sure your contact information (both phone and email) are updated in the Aeries portal as these are how the information is sent.
Parent-Teacher Conference
Parent/Teacher Conferences occur each November following the end of the 1st trimester. During conference week, teacher will schedule a meeting at a convenient time with each parent/guardian to discuss academic progress.
In addition, parents/guardians have the right to meet, within a reasonable time of their request, with their child’s teacher(s) and/or principal. Such conferences can allow parents/guardians the opportunity to stay involved in their child’s education, and can be held for reasons that include, but are not limited to, any of the following:
- To examine the curriculum materials of the class(es) in which their child is enrolled.
- To discuss their child’s progress in school, and any issues that are getting in the way of that progress.
- To review the results of their child’s performance on standardized statewide tests.
- If their child is identified as being at risk of retention, to discuss and/or appeal the decision.
- To question anything in their child’s record that the parent/guardian feels is inaccurate or misleading, or is an invasion of privacy.
