Student Success
Friday Assembly
The first Friday of every month from 8:15-8:45 families are encouraged to witness the student success at our Friday Assembly. Students are recognized for following schoolwide expectations, Accelerated Reader (AR), Student of the Month, and much more!
Blue Slips
At Mission Meadow all staff members are on the look out to recognize students who are displaying leadership behavior - respectful, responsible, safe, and kind! The Blue Slips are used as a tool of encouragement and student motivator.
Students receive a Blue Slip ticket to be tunrned into the blue bin in the cafeteria. Names are randomly selected every Monday and are called over the morning announcement. Students selected are invited to come to the office to choose a prize! Blue Slips of students whose names wer called are returned to the classroom teacher to keep for other classroom recognitions, such as extra recess or popsicle parties.
Wildly Important Goals (WIGs)
Students are recognized for setting and achieving personal learning and/or behavior gooals.

We are proud to be recognized with the California PBIS GOLD award! At Mission Meadows our staff and students have a clear understanding and modeling our schoolwide expectations.
What is PBIS?
Through our Positive Behavioral Interventons and Supports (PBIS) systems, we strive to create positive, predictable, equitable, adn safe learning environments where everyone thrives.
The PBIS system begins with building a solid Tier 1 foundation where all students are engaged in understanding and supporting the implementation of clear schoolwide expectations that create a positive learning environment. When needed, students will be provided with Tier 2 and/or Tier 3 interventions or other means of correction based on the severity of the infraction as well as the frequency of the behavior.
